Residential Roofing in Orangeburg
Most of our work in Orangeburg is on homes, and most of those homes are older than the people living in them. The town has a mix of 1950s capes and ranches, 1970s split-levels, and newer colonials on larger lots. Each type has its own roofing quirks. Capes often have low-slope sections over additions. Split-levels have multiple roof planes and valleys. Colonials have steep pitches and complex flashing. We have replaced and repaired all of them, and we know what to look for before we quote.
- Asphalt shingle roof replacement — We tear off old layers, replace any rotted roof decking, and install new underlayment, ice and water shield, and architectural shingles. Most Orangeburg homes are done in one to two days. We use GAF and Owens Corning Duration shingles with 30- to 50-year warranties.
- Roof leak repair and flashing — Chimney flashing and pipe boots are the most common leak sources in Orangeburg. We replace the flashing rather than patching it, and we test with a hose before we close up. Most repairs are done in a single afternoon.
- Storm damage and insurance claims — After a nor'easter or hail storm, we document the damage with photos, tarp the roof if needed, and provide a scope your insurance adjuster can work from. We handle the repair once the claim is approved.
- Gutter cleaning and roof maintenance — Clogged gutters cause ice dams and fascia rot. Our fall maintenance visit clears gutters, checks flashing, and inspects attic ventilation. It is the cheapest way to prevent a winter leak in Orangeburg.
